Not Bad, But Wasn't For Me
I had a bit of a hard time getting into The Soulkind Awakening by Steve Davala. I'm not sure if it's the writing style or what, but something about it had me wanting to move on to something else. I kept with it for a bit, then listened to something else, then came back to it.

Overall, the story is decent but nothing that made me think it really stood out and give me that feeling of needing to get back to it. I stuck with it though, and ultimately it's a decent story, not one for the ages in my opinion, but okay.

Thinking back on it, a lot of what I struggled with was the opening chapters. It drops you into the world, and characters seemingly do things without much thought or reason apart from some conversation. It calmed down after a while though and I got into the swing of the tone and the writing style.

Overall, I don't think it resonated with me, but of course, your mileage may vary. At the time of writing this, we've got 1 US and 1 UK code to giveaway so you can try it yourself for no risk! So to sum up, it didn't do much for me but was an okay YA fantasy.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I have not let this gift affect nor influence my opinions of this audiobook and have left an honest review.
