Shiny Addition to the Firefly Universe

Review by: The Audiobook ReviewI didn't even know these were a thing until I stumbled upon it, and I'm so glad I did! Like most people, I hated the fact the series was ended only after one season, and short of a movie that's all we got. But now, along comes this series.

Set between the end of the TV show and before the events of the movies, James Lovegrove delivers a classic Firefly tale, while peppering in lots of character backstory and intrigue.

In this, Captain Mal Reynolds has been kidnapped. By whom, the crew don't know, but you can bet your pretty floral bonnet they're not going to let that slide. But first... there's the issue of the crates of highly explosive, highly volatile mining supplies they've agreed to deliver for Badger.

This book fits in perfectly with the established 'verse, and I can't wait to grab the rest! The narrator, James Anderson Foster, delivered a believable performance that even though I'm at on almost intimately familiar terms with each of the characters as portrayed on TV, still left me with no doubt who the crew were.
