Hilarious and I Want More!

Review by: The Audiobook ReviewOkay, so not technically an audiobook but an audio comedy podcast... or to put it another way it's a bunch of short stories following the adventures of Warren, the worlds most unlucky temp as he searches for an elusive full-time job.

Narrated perfectly by the fantastic Marek Larwood, his bone-dry delivery of witty line and turns of phrase had me cackling out loud through all six of these stories. His long-suffering recruitment agent Aimee (Vicki Pepperdine) helps Warren both get into ridiculous situations as well as helping him get out of them.

Throughout the six stories, we learn of Warren's tragic backstory when he worked at a safari park, and how he's doing his best to get past it. The pay off comes in the final chapter of course, but the circuitous route he takes to get there is just as enjoyable, and you'll be rooting for him throughout.

I honestly can't believe that Amazon hasn't pushed ahead further with this title and turned it into an Amazon Prime comedy series. The situation, humour, and fast-paced storytelling would lend itself perfectly to the medium in my humble opinion.

Since downloading this less than 1 week ago, I held off writing a review because after I got to the end of it I jumped back to the beginning and started listening to it again. Yes, I enjoyed it that much.

So let that be the recommendation! So good I had to listen to it twice!
